On 18 November at 9:30 a.m. the UAB offices of the Vice Rector for Innovation and Strategic Projects and the Vice Rector for Students and Employability organise a "Science and Entrepreneurship in Feminine" seminar to raise awareness of women standing out in innovation and entrepreneurship at the UAB campus.
The event also aims to provide specific resources for women interested in innovating and/or becoming entrepreneurs.
The session will be held in the UAB Theatre Hall and ICMAB researcher Nora Ventosa, president of the TECNIO Association and co-founder of the spin-off Nanomol Technologies will be part of it.
The seminar will be inaugurated by Rosa María Sebastián, Vice Rector for Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship, and Lluís Juncà, General Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Government of Catalonia.
Following the inaugural speech, Nora Ventosa, researcher at the Nanomol-Bio group of the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB CSIC), president of the TECNIO association and founder of the Nanomol Technologies spin-off, will give an inspirational conference on her experience as a woman researcher and entrepreneur with the objective of motivating other young women scientists.
The main sessions in this seminar will consist in three round tables. One will include UAB researchers, leaders in each of their fields; another will take place with women entrepreneurs; and the third round table will be conducted with women from public and private entities who fund and support projects made by women.
The seminar will be held at the UAB Theatre Hall and will also be streamed live through the UAB's YouTube channel. Seating is limited, please sign up if you are interested in attending.
